On Thursday 25th May, Mrs Sheikh organised a Disability awareness day focusing on “Visual impairment” in collaboration with Amanati who helped in providing valuable educational resources and activities to engage the students.
Having Mr. Rizvi, an engineer, financial services professional, and passionate sportsman who is also blind, as a guest speaker has been incredibly insightful. His personal experiences and expertise have given the students a unique perspective on visual impairment and how individuals can overcome challenges.
Incorporating hands-on activities for the lower primary students was a great way to help them appreciate the blessings they have. By engaging their senses and allowing them to experience what it might be like to have a visual impairment, they can develop empathy and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by others.
