Year 2 started off their Fantasy stories unit by drawing a picture of a dragon and designing it creatively using paint, glitter and sequins. This enabled them to describe their dragons using descriptive phrases, noun phrases and similes.

Year 2 children enjoyed this Maths practical lesson solving 2-digit number sums not crossing tens. They used dienes to represent the tens and ones in each number then counted them altogether to get the total. The children then wrote the sum in two different ways.
