Vision and mission statement

Inspired by his integrity and lifelong pursuit of scholarly excellence, our school is named after Imam Ja’far Sadiq (p.b.u.h), the sixth Imam of the Shia'a faith. Al-Sadiq denotes ‘the truthful one’ and it is this titular characteristic that forms the bedrock of our school. Indeed, veracious reflection, steadfast knowledge-seeking, and servitude to society are enshrined as the tenets of our school’s ethos.

As a faith school, our mission is to prepare generations of young men for the wider world they will inhabit. Al-Sadiq offers the practical, emotional and spiritual tools with which our pupils endeavour to reach their full potential. This endeavour is marked by tenacity, the value of time, and cooperation with their peers and educational practitioners to prosper through the years.

Al-Sadiq School has an unwavering commitment to its core values of moral uprightness, diversity and inclusion, and the unbridling of creativity. Our return is in the form of original thinkers, ambitious attainers, and spiritually robust individuals all offering their unique talents to the society privileged enough to receive graduates of Al-Sadiq.

We have a vision to reach our goals of excellence indented into the fabric of our existence.  Our vision constitutes four key elements:

Excellence in Education

“The most helpful thing in purifying the intellect is education” – Imam Ali (a.s.)
At Al-Sadiq, we are keen to create an exciting learning environment for our students where we can cultivate and cherish their highest aspirations. We foster the tenets of the Ahlulbait (a.s.) according to which it is incumbent upon every Muslim to acquire knowledge and education. As such, we believe that every child has the potential to succeed within an intellectually stimulating and challenging setting. Every child is encouraged to manifest courage and enquiry in their quest for intellectual betterment. Being courageous can be monumental in the most modest of ways; having a go at a difficult question, offering an answer in a lesson, or nudging a peer in the right direction. Our boys learn and grow through the small, everyday steps they take that facilitate large, spirited leaps into their future.

Excellence in God-consciousness

Through God-consciousness, actions become pure” – Imam Ali (a.s.)
Our primary aim is to centralise God-consciousness into the psyche of each pupil, so they may develop spiritually, ethically and theologically. Al-Sadiq School strives to inculcate the love of God within a positive and caring environment, as we recognise each individual as a unique component of God’s creation. We inculcate the values taught by our role models, the Ahlulbait (a.s.), to foster God-consciousness in our students.

Excellence in serving communities

“The best of mankind is the one most useful to them” – Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h.)
Al-Sadiq strives to nurture individuals who will live fruitfully in their society with conviction in themselves and empathy for others. The school has a sense of being part of a wider community, which nurtures well-rounded, compassionate individuals who are determined to mature into outstanding British citizens, beneficial to the social and economic growth of our country. Our students harbour a sense of responsibility and accountability towards themselves, their peers, families and the wider community.

Excellence in character

“The purest of all in lineage is the best of them in character” – Imam Ali (a.s.)
Al-Sadiq School is focused on eliciting the noble and honourable characteristics of its pupils: honesty, integrity, compassion and mutual respect – these are all traits we endeavour to instill daily and tirelessly. Tenacity, self-respect and self-belief upholds our core, and inspires each student to become paragons of patience and perseverance.

Our vision is to ensure that Al-Sadiq School provides a perfect balance that caters to our pupils’ progress and attainment of high standards in order to develop caring, courteous and law-abiding citizens. Our aim is to develop and promote the academic, emotional, spiritual and physical development of every student regardless of race, creed and culture. This is achieved by teaching a diverse curriculum that embeds academic brilliance, creativity and critical thinking leading to graduates that possess outstanding moral values to become responsible citizens of the future.
